Good News For You

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,  – Romans 3:23‭-‬24 NKJV

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.—Romans 6:23 NKJV

For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:6‭-‬8 NKJV

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  – Romans 10:9‭-‬13 NKJV

How To Respond

We must have a change of heart about who Jesus Christ is and what He did on the cross. the bible calls that repentance. We need to receive and believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We must realize that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sin. We can not earn it by good works, by having a good moral character or by being religious. There is no other way.

Here is a sample prayer

Heavenly Father. I know that I’m a sinner. I believe that you sent your Son, Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for my sin by dying on the cross and rising from the grave. I confess and repent of my sin and now trust in Jesus Christ as my only Savior and Lord.

I pray this in the name of Jesus . Amen.
